For more than forty years, I’ve helped families and small-business owners build their dreams in Pierce County. As a real estate broker, land use consultant, former Land Use Commissioner, Red-Tape Task Force member, and part of the leadership team that helped negotiate the Mid-County Community Plan preserving the Rural Separator, I’ve seen how excessive regulation drives up housing costs and chokes opportunity. That’s part of why Washington ranks among the worst states for affordable housing. But housing isn’t our only challenge.
Public spaces are being overtaken by encampments that allow open-air drug use, our police officers are handcuffed by poor policies, and our leaders aren’t fixing it. I will help fix it. I believe in protecting neighborhoods, supporting our officers, and taking practical steps to connect people with real services. These aren’t partisan issues—they’re community priorities.
But beyond my business career, I’ve always believed in giving back. That's why I’ve served on the Housing Advisory Board, helped improve permitting through the Best Permitting Agency team, and worked on professional standards through the Association of Realtors. I’ve also spent years volunteering with nonprofits that support at-risk youth—work that’s shown me just how crucial it is to invest in families before crises happen
.
Too many elected officials have never built anything or dealt with the real-world impact of their decisions. I have. As a small business advisor and someone who’s helped clients navigate complex land use and permitting systems for decades, I’ve seen where policy meets reality. I’m running for County Council because Pierce County doesn’t need more politicians—it needs practical, experienced leadership. I’m here to serve, not play partisan games. If you want common-sense solutions, I’d be honored to earn your vote.
